Pipe Bursting

A tried-and-true pipeline rehabilitation method capable of actually increasing the diameter of the existing pipe. Using pneumatically powered bursting heads to pull in welded HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) pipe, Gelco does not need to employ the static pull method of inferior processes. This results in an efficient, reliable installation process that can increase your infrastructure flow capacity while still giving the benefits of non-disturbance construction.

Again, Gelco can install pipe that is tailored to your specific situation. With pipe bursting, active laterals are individually excavated for reattachment to the mainline. This gives the owner the advantage of a mechanical gasketed connection, the standard of the pipe industry, while negating the disadvantages of groundwater tracking in the annular space of other technologies.

Depending on construction limits, reversible bursting heads can be used in many situations to install the pipe from a single excavation. Gelco uses the most modern equipment available and provides a standalone pipe with pressure capability at a cost that no other technology can compete with.
