Precast Concrete Erosion Control Block

Armortec an articulated concrete block revetment system used for controlling erosion in light to moderate wave and open-channel flow conditions. The interlocking design keys each block into four adjacent blocks to hold it in position and resist lateral movement, providing a stable, flexible and permeable protection that can withstand the erosive forces of waves and stream flow velocities. The size and shape of this unit is designed for ease in handling and installation.

Soil particles trapped between the joints of this system act as dry grout, binding the blocks into a continuous mattress. Open cells and joints between blocks provide a suitable environment for vegetation such as grass and small shrubs that can provide a permanent anchor for the installation.
