Chattanooga, TN — Propex introduced its newest Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM), Landlok® 300, at the 2007 IECA tradeshow in Reno, Nevada. Propex's Landlok® Turf Reinforcement Mats are the industry's most advanced solutions for applications requiring immediate, long-term erosion protection, vegetative reinforcement and water quality enhancement capabilities. And now, Propex has improved upon their first generation Landlok TRM's with their new Landlok 300 product. Utilizing the same 3-D woven technology found in their Pyramat® High Performance Turf Reinforcement Mats (HPTRMs), Propex has created an advanced TRM with significantly longer design life and better performance than all netted, fused, glued or stitch-bonded composite first generation TRM's.

Landlok 300 is a netless, patented matrix of pyramids formed with Propex's X3® fiber technology, which provides 40% greater surface area for trapping and protecting seed and soil. It features a rugged material construction with superior tensile strength for loading and/or survivability requirements and offers greater flexibility to maintain intimate contact with the subgrade, resulting in rapid seedling emergence and minimal soil loss under high-flow conditions. Plus, the completely interconnected yarns provide advanced UV resistance throughout the TRM. The combination of these superior characteristics guarantees Landlok 300 will deliver better, long-term performance over traditional methods like rock riprap and concrete paving and increase design life up to 25 years. Not to mention it is more cost-effective than the conventional erosion control methods.

"Landlok 300's revolutionary 3-D woven technology represents the future of TRM's," said Lee Pierce, Director of Market Development. "The combination of high tensile strength, greater flexibility, superior UV stability and X3® fiber technology makes Landlok 300 perfect for steep slopes and high-flow channels and you can be confident your projects will last for a long time."
