Colbond Geosyntheticso help prevent radon gas from entering homes, the Enkavent system is a 0.8-in. high matrix of nylon filaments point-bonded to a polyester fabric. It meets all requirements of floating slab construction and is adaptable to sump systems. 90% of this geomatrix is airspace, allowing the radon room to flow through the filter fabric, and is channeled into pipe openings and routed outdoors. The filter fabric is designed to restrain the underlying gravel and soil to prevent clogging. It is engineered to stand up to concrete without compressing. This system is effective in a temperature range from –100°F to 250°F, and in a pH range from 3 to 12.
