Rochester Instrument Systems was founded by instrumentation professionals in 1961. For over 30 years we have designed and manufactured advanced electronic instruments for electric utilities and process industries, provided superior technical training, and offered the highest level of services anywhere. Our product lines feature the latest in design and application technologies while ensuring certified accuracy and operational control.
Our acquisition of industry leader Scientific Columbus in 1995 greatly expanded our product line to include meters, transducers, and calibration standards for the power measurement industry. In 1998 we acquired LER (Leading Edge Research) specialists in Transient Recorders. LER is now our center of excellence for Transient Recorders. Finally, in order to supplement of Transient Recorder business, we signed a license agreement with CPM (Canada) to market and manufacture Power Quality Instruments.
