Sentry Control Systems Inc. Enters Exclusive Agreement with SkiData Parking Services USA
Under the terms of the agreement, Sentry has exclusive distribution rights to SkiData's award-winning hardware and software for new parking control system designs, installations and maintenance contract services in regions including California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Hawaii.
Sentry has committed to specifying SkiData equipment in all future parking control designs, yet will continue to provide maintenance and parts contract services for the hundreds of existing customers with parking systems previously installed using non-SkiData equipment.
SkiData parking control products are built using high-quality materials and workmanship, resulting in extremely reliable and durable equipment. Advanced product designs facilitate ease of service and maintenance, and have garnered SkiData international awards for ergonomics. For example, barrier gates feature maintenance-free drive mechanisms. Parking columns employ sophisticated single-slot technology to process payments via bar code as well as magnetic stripe tickets, magnetic cards, smart cards, credit cards, or even proximity devices such as SkiData KeyCards or Swatch(TM) Access data carriers.
SkiData's APT 450 parking system is adaptable for small- to large-scale projects, such as the recent installation completed by Sentry at the Century Plaza Towers in Los Angeles -- North America's largest underground parking facility. In addition to providing reliable operation, SkiData systems incorporate the latest fraud- prevention technology; an ability to interface with networked Windows NT/Microsoft SQL database environments; and central, remote or multisite management.
Robert Weiskopf, general manager of the worldwide parking division at SkiData AG, said: "We believe that this agreement provides significant benefits to both parties. It gives us access to a key U.S. market through the premier provider of parking control access design and installation services, while allowing Sentry to provide its customers with better value and offer them more of the features that they demand."
Tim Flanagan, Sentry's president, commented: "We are very pleased about our new vendor-partner SkiData, the runaway market leader in parking control systems worldwide. SkiData's superior hardware and software systems are instrumental in controlling some of the world's largest and most advanced parking facilities. This arrangement allows us to provide our loyal customers with a superior choice in parking system ergonomics, functionality and reliability."
