Each trench shield includes a P. E. certification chart specifying the depth and soil conditions the shield is designed to withstand. This allows for compliance with OSHA excavation and trench regulations. The system includes recessed lifting lugs to facilitate assembly, disassembly and handling. Spreader sets are pin connected to sidewalls, eliminating the need for nuts, bolts or tools in assembly or disassembly. The bottom edge of the sidewalls have reinforced edges that are gusseted from strength and beveled to a knife-like edge that allows the pushing shield to grade easier. The system also features hardwood pounding rails and thru-wall collars.
