U.S. Filter introduces their Diffused Multi-Layer Sampler, which is used for the detection and the characterization of groundwater pollution.
The system consists of a rod containing proprietary dialysis sampling cells. The higher-concentration groundwater diffuses across the membranes into the low-concentration cells until equilibrium is reached, making sampling a passive process. The cells are separated by flexible seals that conform to the inner diameter of the well. These seals allow a representative sample to be captured from a narrow layer of the ground water aquifer.
